I am a huge toffee lover and these are completely to die for. If you are looking at this recipe and you love toffee- you have to try it. It’s your destiny. It is cheap and easy, kinda like everything here, and you will probably hate me for introducing you to it.
1/2 cup of butter; plus extra for greasing pan
Saltines to cover cookie sheet
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (milk or semisweet-whatever you like)
1 cup pecan pieces
Preheat oven to 375 F. Line cookie sheet (one with edges like a jelly roll pan) with foil. Butter heavily. Place crackers side by side to fill entire sheet. Combine butter and brown sugar in small saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over crackers and bake for 7 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips while still hot. Spread chocolate evenly over entire pan. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill in fridge. Break into pieces. Store in airtight container.
